You went to night vigil the night before then you go to work the next day and misbehave by sleeping for three hours you got fired which leads to you going broke and couldn’t afford the choir uniform then you are also fired from the house of GOD. Get to think of it, if a doctor to perform a surgery slept for three hours during surgery what will happen? The woman dies. so this is the bitter truth vigil is not for everybody, if you have something to do the next day and coming to vigil will affect you don’t come. (Proverb 4:7)
Some pastors who dwells on keeping the sabbath day holy don’t forget their drivers drive them to church on that same sabbath day, what is he doing? Technical team in church are they not working? If they keep the sabbath day holy by not working will anything function in the church? You must understand the scriptures and what being holy means.
Productivity is not a sin.
Some people claim it is written that GOD said to keep the sabbath day holy, and they will also give excuses on who gave you the leg, who gave you life and so on and so forth. But trust me if the pastor wife put to bed on that very sabbath day won’t he take his wife to the hospital? If those doctors and nurses are to keep the sabbath day holy, what will actually happen? Keep the sabbath day holy but do labor occur on the sabbath day or not? If all drivers are to keep the sabbath day holy you will trek miles before going to church and trek miles in the scorching sun to get home again.
I am not saying you have or should work on the sabbath day. What I’m saying is you must understand the scripture, productivity is not a sin. The Bible did not say be unproductive on the sabbath day it said “KEEP IT HOLY”
Now the doctor have to be in the hospital because there’re emergencies from dawn till sun dusk. Does this mean that doctor is a sinner? Definitely no! He is there to save lives I’m not saying you shouldn’t go to church on Sunday but remember it is “you versus you” come to think of it, some people go to church with bad motives, some boys in search of ladies and some ladies in search of men to extort on this same sabbath day. Does this make them any better than the people praying in their houses? You must understand the scripture! And also understands that it is you versus you, and it is between you and GOD. And GOD sees the heart. And to remind you guys Jesus also work on the sabbath day. He perform miracles (healing people on the sabbath day) luke 13:10-17, John 9:1-14, Luke 6:6-11. Thanks for reading
